Bethany Karlyn has been leading the way in the art of makeup since 1986, when she began her career in her native Boston. She quickly moved to New York City where she quickly developed an extensive portfolio on top-notch national and international magazine and advertising campaigns.

In 1990, Bethany moved to LA where she became one of the most sought-after celebrity makeup artists in town working with top photographers such as Michel Comte, Matthew Rolston, David Lachapelle, Mark Seliger and Gilles Bensimmon.

Bethany‘s vision and art have graced the faces of Reese Witherspoon, Penelope Cruz, Pamela Anderson, Salma Hayak, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Dita Von Teese, Jennifer Hudson, and Jessica Alba, to name but a few.

Bethany has helped to create the national and international advertising campaigns of some of the world‘s leading brands, like Armani, Calvin Klein, Nike, Baby Phat, Target, Neiman Marcus, Coach, Gianfranco Ferre, Clairol, Neutrogena, and Skyy Vodka. Her work has appeared on covers and inside editorials of top magazines too. Vogue US, Italian, Spanish, German and British editions, Harpers Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, Vanity Fair, W, Rolling Stone, Arena, The Face, Marie Claire, and many more.

And as if that wasn‘t enough, Bethany has also held one of the most coveted positions in the makeup industry, Director of Professional Support at MAC Cosmetics, where she worked as a media spokesperson, celebrity makeup artist and liaison to the professional makeup community.
